The Surprising Workshop with Chris Buck

Just returned from Santa Fe where I attended a workshop called "the Surprising Workshop" with Chris Buck.

It was like solitary confinement with your camera, or an ass whip for the right side of the brain. Chris Buck is super smart and realistic.   For each of the following assignments we had limited time to come up with an idea - sometimes an hour, sometimes 5 minutes.

Here is the work:

Day 1) Shoot the teacher: A Surprising Portrait of Chris Buck.
It was working in my favour until someone got rowdy..

Day 2) Portraits on location:
Shot at the New Mexico State Penitentiary. This is Rick Lamonda, a prison guard who witnessed the riot of 1980 first hand.

Day 3) Self-Portrait using model, shot at the Masonic temple in the town of Santa Fe.
